Zikia and Healthcare
In a bid to popularize healthcare services amongst the youth, we are teaming up with Healthcare Sector Skill
Council under the Ministry of Healthcare and Skill Development, Govt of India for training the youth in the
Healthcare and medic sector.
Because a vision isn’t great enough until the world and its people benefit from it, both directly and indirectly.
Our Vision for the future
At Zikia, it is a constant endeavour to bring naturally derived medicine to the
masses, keeping in mind the need of the hour. Our R & D facilities are situated at Hyderabad and Guwahati,
and we make sure we source our raw materials from the best farms to make sure there is least contamination
of toxins and heavy metals in them. Our R & D team believes in
thinking ahead of time and foreseeing the medicinal requirements of the
future. With the shifting medicinal preferences of people from mainstream
to alternative medicine, our teams are constantly working on medicine that
will cater to the ever-changing needs of the society with an aim to promote
natural, sustainable and safe healthcare practices
What’s always in our minds?
At Zikia, we explore the field of Phytopharmaceuticals, which is defined as
“Purified and Standardized fraction with a defined minimum of four
bioactive or phytochemical compounds (qualitatively and quantitatively
assessed) of an extract of a medicinal plant or its part, for internal or
external use of human beings or animals for diagnosis, treatment,
mitigation, or prevention of any disease or disorder but does not include
administration by parenteral route.” Globally, herbal medicine has been
considered an important alternative to modern allopathic medicine. While
they have become very popular, only select herbs have been scientifically
evaluated for their potential in medical treatment. With people all across
the globe becoming concerned about the medicine that they are using, more
and more people are opting for natural alternatives to allopathic medicines
that usually cause multiple side effects with long-term usage. That is how
rose the demand for plant-based natural products that had been approved
for therapeutic use. This ultimately led to the rise in a necessity of a
separate class of pharmaceuticals that could be placed midway between
the traditional knowledge of herbal medicine and the scientific approach
that allopathy boasts of.
